Making the Move to GOswim

What It Means for You and Your Swimmer

As we transition into our GOswim Swimming and Water Safety program, we understand you may have questions about what this change looks like. At Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre, we’re committed to making this transition as smooth, simple, and positive as possible for both swimmers and families.

A Seamless Transition. No Reassessments Required

The great news is that there’s no need to worry about starting over or booking in for reassessments. Through careful planning, we have mapped the new curriculum directly to your previous swimming program, ensuring that students’ current level and progress are recognised.

This means students will continue their journey without interruption, stepping confidently into the appropriate level within the new program from day one.

How the Levels Align

To make things even clearer, we’ve aligned your previous swimming levels with our GOswim program. Here’s how the levels translate:

What’s Different About GOswim?

Our GOswim Swimming and Water Safety Program is built around structured progression, helping children develop essential swimming and water safety skills step by step.

As your child moves through the program, they’ll be supported by:

  • Clearly defined skill milestones at each level
  • Regular assessments to track progress
  • Guided progression into the next level when they’re ready

Learning to swim with GOswim is both fun and an essential life skill. That’s why we celebrate every milestone along the way, building confidence, strengthening water safety skills, and helping your child discover where their swimming journey can take them.

With each completed GOswim level, students are presented with a medal and certificate to celebrate their achievement.

What This Means for Your Family

For families, this transition means:

  • No disruption to your child’s learning journey
  • Confidence that their current ability has been recognised
  • A structured pathway that supports long-term skill development

Most importantly, all students will continue to build confidence, water safety skills, and a love of water in a familiar and supportive environment.
