The Holmes boys cleaned up at the recent South Eastern Swimming Championships, taking home medals in every event that they competed in.
The brothers train together under Ben Blaik within our BlueFit squads at Moss Vale Aquatic Centre and have been swimming club members for the past five years! Lucas is the eldest in the family. Gone are the days of standing nervously behind the blocks. He competes with confidence and genuine sportsmanship. Lucas improved on his personal best times in all strokes at the carnival, including getting his 50m freestyle time down to a 34:47.
Matthew listens intently to his coach and carries out the instructions given with maximum effort. Matthew achieved a Country Championships qualifying time in the 50m butterfly finishing in 39:59. He is a terrific swimmer and a magnificent young man!
Henry took a whopping six seconds off his 50m backstroke time, finishing in 53:71. Henry approaches all things with determination. He is continually improving his strokes as well as his endurance. His enthusiasm to compete will assist him long into the future. Everyone at Moss Vale Swimming Club looks forward to what these boys will achieve this year, and in the years ahead.
