During 2022 we announced that the Moss Vale Aquatic Centre was expected to undergo some major changes and renovations. These renovations were said to introduce the community to a purpose built fitness room and a fully accessible adult change facility. Part of the development included a fully accessible adult changing bed with a roof hoist to help with the movement to and from a wheelchair, as well as a new aquatic wheelchair providing access to the pool. This is an incredible improvement since 2019, when we announced that the facility was fitted with disability access to the facility with entry and exit ramps, as well as an aquatic wheelchair and wheelchair hoist available for patrons.
As many members of our community have probably already noticed, these renovations have finally concluded. After months of renovations, our team has been excited to officially open the new and improved facilities! As a result of these extensive renovations, the centre now has:
- A new group fitness room
- The introduction of virtual on-demand group fitness classes
- Members can now have 24/7 access to the gym facilities
- Upgraded baby change rooms & allied health rooms

These renovations came as a result of the grant from the NSW Government’s Regional Sports Facility Fund. This was also topped up by a $260,000 contribution from Wingecarribee Shire Council.
The new adult change areas have been received positively amongst the locals. The introduction of the change area comes as an addition to our facilities, making our facilities more accessible to the entire community of Moss Vale.
